Meet the First Choice Dental Lab leadership team
Matt Cushing - Owner/President
After a 6 year career in the NFL as a Tight End and Fullback, Matt Cushing entered the dental lab industry as a sales rep.
After building relationships in the dental community for a few years, he had the opportunity to start First Choice Dental Lab in 2008. First Choice has grown into a full service dental lab offering crown and bridge, removables, and orthodontics. Matt learned the operations of the lab from the ground up and has used his athletic background to create the team centric culture at First Choice focusing on consistent quality, on-time delivery, and exceptional customer service.
A native of the south side of Chicago, Matt is a former president of the Downers Grove Park District Board of Commissioners and is a current member of the Board of Directors at his alma mater, Mt. Carmel High School. He and his wife of 22 years, Angie, have 3 kids, Luke (17), Ella (15), and Claire (13). In his free time, Matt enjoys coaching youth sports, mountain biking, and woodworking.
Jerry MAher - Director of sales
Jerry, a Western Pennsylvania-native and veteran of the United States Air Force, is one of the founders of First Choice Dental Lab.
An experienced sales professional with Fortune 500 companies such as Coca-Cola and PharMerica Long Term Care Pharmacy, as well as a partner in a start-up Long Term Care Pharmacy. Jerry is responsible for the customer-first philosophy at our lab.
Jerry has been married to his wife Denise for 25+ years and they have 3 children, Mia (22), Nicholas (19) and Nathan (15). In his free time Jerry enjoys working out, coaching basketball, and spending time with his family.
